I mean, I thought it was a pretty good reply to the criticism. They're trying to appease their core fans with MW Remastered, while also trying to do new things with Infinite Warfare.

i agree. it was certainly professional.
at least they are coming around to the idea that not everyone is happy with the constant production of these future CODs. There are still a large subset that want boots on the ground. All we can hope for is that the next COD they change it up a bit. If their following is so strong and resilient to the same future nonsense over and over, then surely they could keep the same following for more traditional time settings.

More power to them. At least he was honest. They are doing the COD4 remaster to appease the fans that are sick of the future shite. The are keeping the future shite because its made them piles of cash.
I still don't think that the futuristic/space setting is what their audience really wants. But, CoD may be one of those franchises that has generation gaps in it. Maybe half of their audience wants to relive the days when the band sold out bars all over town and they want to get back together for a few nights and pew again with no 12 year old queerbiscuits screwing everything up. And maybe there is a group of people that want to play Call of Star Wars.
It is a little dirty that they put them together and that's our only option, but they are a business and they don't owe us a damn thing. It'd be nice if they were nice about it, but they aren't.
