Haha. I know this Sic.

I'm not arguing against that point. I've made the argument many times on here that the COD Devs don't value the basic concepts in the older titles and only want to make a cheap buck. Gone are the days of squad strategy, gun skill, and experience being the separation between COD players. The new abilities, gear, and other crap level the playing field for new players of the franchise to increase COD's market share and target audience.

But I couldn't give a frick as long as they continue to bring these remastered additions back into the fold. Let the teeny bopper no scoping, wall running, jet packing turds have their fun in the latest shite COD, as long as we/I have our older versions to live thru again.

Don't get your panties in a wad just because a few of us are itching to relive our COD Glory Days and revive this now shittastic board in the process

Marketing BS. Few months after the release it 'll end up separately anyhow. Don't be fooled people.

Very much this. The original CoD pack in that was "exclusive" to BlackOps 1 was released as a separate thing not even 2 months later. This is so their pre-order numbers get higher for launch.
It's simple, if you don't actually want the new CoD, don't get it. Modern Warfare remastered will be out shortly after.

It certainly seems so, if not. Not sure why you would feel the need to shite on our revival party otherwise

Anyone get the feeling that this remaster could overshadow the new game?

I think I want to wait to see if it will be sold on its own at some point.

I am under no delusion that millions of teeny boppers will purchase IW and it'll likely break sales records yet again on its own....

the average gamer is 31 these days.

if its a huge hit it wont be b/c of teeny boppers

100% not what I said.

These games don't sell like they used to, but COD is still going to sell. People will gripe and complain about where the franchise is, but people will buy this game. This is a smart move by them to sell COD4 with it, and yes, it's going to really help the numbers. But I promise that the number of people who, if given the chance, would purchase COD4 over IW isn't as big as you want to believe. Of course we would. That's our nostalgia. But unless they add some modern bells and whistles, we're going to see it's a dated game. Of course we'll enjoy it, but that's not a guarantee with the "modern" shooter audience.

I really could not care less about CoD4, but I'd play a remaster if it came out.

According to Activision's FAQ on the Remaster, it will have dedicated servers.

Well of course. They know no one would even bother with that new jet-pack, laser beam garbage if they could get the old-fashioned COD.

The problem here is that Activision has no faith in Infinite Warfare and they know the fanbase doesn't want it. But why is it being made? Then, they are going to rely on a remake of a 9 year old game to sell copies of Infinite Warfare on the back of CoD4 Remastered and then tout Infinite Warfare as a success.

I'm not even a CoD guy, but can admit that games sells with ease. Has it grown stale to the people of tGB? Yes, but it will still sell without issue.

Such an obtuse and ignorant point of view.
