I think it is more about speeding up the time it takes to research and develop items. My only concern is they artificially nerfed the time to coax people into spending money on it. I want to be angry, but frankly it is as much a part of gaming as anything else. I managed to play TLOU without purchasing a damn thing besides the game, so I think I'll be OK here.
