I don't think I used any powers with my femshep solider in ME1.
People may hate ME3, but I loved it. Being a Biotic sniper in single player is so fun ( or Adept with BPP+ Venom Shotgun) The only hard mission in the entire game is the Aria final mission.

I always played as tech w/ pistols in ME1.
ME2 made biopics playable. This playthrough, I think I'm gonna go with no special powers.

I forget the talent as I haven't played ME1 since probably...2010? But Infiltrator was straight up OP. Okay I pulled up the wiki page. Go Commando, Marksman skill, class skill, watch shite melt in front of you. With the proper mods on your pistols you racked up the DPS so quickly that you were essentially unbeatable.

IIRC I think you can pick up everything with an Adept except the geth Juggernauts

I was a soldier on ME1. I used companions for Biotics and Tech. On normal, it was pretty easy.
Still a soldier on ME2. I've been running with Jack and Mordin. Dying more often. The AI is much improved in ME2.

ME2 is the hardest game without a doubt (something about the damage scaling IIRC). After the Horizon mission, the game does become a bit easier.
Also, the only good thing about Jack is her romance imo. Her shotgun is useless. Her shockwave move OHK Husks, but on higher difficulties (besides Normal) the husks have armor, rendering it useless too. Miranda is the better pLAY. Her Warp kills armor and biotics. Her Overload destroys shields.
Hopefully you're scanning the planets, too. And get the DLC!

I dont know about anyone else but I always played as the Engineer. Overload for shields, armor piercing ammo for armor, and incinerate for fleshy opponents made playing the game ridiculously easy. Nothing was too much of a challenge to take down.

Normally play as soldier.

I enjoyed all three. The ending for 3 wasn't as horrible as people say, just disappointing. You think that the choices you made actually make a difference and they don't.
Just take the games for what they are, a fun space opera with shooter & space magic elements.

If you have Zaeed Kasumi, and Liara's missions you have everything.
Arrival is another one, but should be played only after you finish the game.

ME2 - Combat is definitely much better. Better AI and having to conserve ammo also makes things tougher.
Quests showing up on the travel screen is another huge improvement.
Still gathering my team up and doing team loyalty quests.
Top Notch game so far.
can't wait to get to 3 just to see what all the commotion was about.

Not just the ending, but most of the story completely shite on the player that bought into the idea that their decisions in the previous two games mattered. Insulting.

There are also some N7 missions you can get only by scanning some of the planets. You can use a guide if you want for those to Save time.
