My fave video game series of all time. Anxiously waiting on ME4.

Just finished.

Really good game.

Good story and game mechanics.

Only negatives revolve around the inventory system. Should be able to highlight and gel more than 1 item at a time. Always a pain clearing out the inventory.

Not a fan of games that end after the story is over. A few side missions I didn't complete.

The survey / mako side missions could be tedious.

The completionist in me wanted to finish the mining/ badges/ other misc quests but the game was over.

Minimal quibbles. Solid game and glad I finally got around to it.

Downloading Mass Effect 2 and will start tonight.

I didn't even know you could land on other planets until I beat the game.

I did like zero side mission content and beat ME1 in like 10 hours. One day I will replay it for the side missions.

I read a review that the game seemed a bit short so I stayed away from the last 3 main missions until I completed all of the side missions other than the gather this or that missions.

I've read they got rid of the gather this crap mako missions and I won't miss those. They were fine at first but there were far too many.

Also, with maxed tech, the whole map should have been populated with site information. That would have been a nice touch instead of having to drive the whole map to make sure you got all the extra stuff.

I loved that achievements provided gameplay bonuses in ME1. They had a point. That was cool.

Who had the bright idea to remove stats from weapons armor so we have no fricking clue what we should be using?

They dumbed down weapons and armor in ME2. There are basically no items. You choose your weapon based on how it shoots. Armor really offers very little between different sets.

If you thought ME1's inventory was far too busy, ME2 went the complete opposite extreme and basically removed the inventory.

Yeah. Appears they removed most of the RPG elements.

Seems like they dumbed the whole game down. To early to make judgments, but I am not thrilled with the changes to this point.

They did make the combat a bit more exciting.

ME4 seems like the inventory will go back to being much more expansive. Seems like they took a lot from DA: I.

Exactly how I felt. But combat was better, and story was great. I wish they'd have made a third game that would bridge the two styles.

Maybe one day we'll get ME3...

I was disappointed to read yesterday that none of the PC versions have controller support. Bioware does some strange things sometimes.

The story is really good and the enemy is great. I didn't like how they reduced the scale of the Citadel.

I did like your teammates in ME2 more.

And the ending is how team oriented games should be done.

I hope they bring the original trilogy to PS4 as well.

I'll totally buy that.
