I'f found that average corners (draft champions) paired with solid LBs and a great secondary shuts down those deep passes. The corners can stay with the man, and then the safety help over the top really nails down the coverage. Sure he may catch one every now and again but I got more INTs than he got completions.

Having great safeties brings a defense to an entirely different level. Having good man cover corners prevents the short routes and the safeties won't let anything go over top. That leaves the DL and LBs to sell out against the run.

I like the new catch options, and I haven't found that it makes it too easy for large receivers to go make a ridiculous catch. To the contrary, I've found it's easier to make a play on the ball as a defender which was lacking, imo.

I won't even draft a cb a lot of the time. The good safeties shut down the deep, LBs shut down anything in the middle and most people down have patience just to throw flats all game. A great pass rush also severely affects passes by qbs. That was lacking and I love seeing that.

I have Tamba Ali, Mario Edwards, Khalil Mack, and Jadeveon Clowney as my front 4 in Nickel/Dime and it's fun. QBs run for their lives.

Having played a few games I like this game way more than last years. Enjoying the new passing system and I find playing defense is much better.

Does anyone know if the auction house has a better system for bidding other than constantly upping your bid? Basically looking for an eBay type system that I can put a max bid in.

Nope, all you can do is continuously up it by one. Think of it as Quibid, or Beezid or whatever those other penny auction sites are. That's what you are doing.

I was playing as the Patriots last night. Commentary from the game:
"They really passed the ball a lot in the first half and got out to a nice lead. Look for them to really take the air out of the ball in the second half and run it some more"

I like airing it out so that what I focused on, on my draft champions. Ended up with Matt ryan, h morre(93ovr wr), Julio jones and Jeremy maclin. Also kelce at TE. Defense was stacked. Watt, Donald and chandler jones on the line. Tramon Williams and powers at Cb. Linebacker were Mack, clay Mathews, and tulloch. Safeties were earl Thomas and Tj ward

I think I just finished the most dominant defensive performance of my Madden online career.
I got Marshawn Lynch and Forte with a stacked O Line, and a defense thats pretty damn nasty.
Just played my first game online:
- I won the game 16-0 (three field goals, 1 TD)
- I had 137 rushing yards, 0 pass yards on 1 attempt.
- Marshawn had 81 yards 1 TD, Forte 57 yards
- Held my opponent to 3 yards of total offense.
- He had -9 rushing yards and 12 passing yards

I just made it to the playoffs in my first season on Franchise with the Saints. Playing on All-Pro, I had to play the Vikings in the Dome, then Green Bay in Lambeau. I beat the Packers 20-7 after giving up a touchdown early, next up is the Seahawks (96 rating). I am kinda scared. Its gonna be a tough game!

I made the NFCCG with the saints on all pro and played the Seahawks and lost 35-0
