Feels good man. That was a freaking bad arse game. Anyone else here a fan of this game? It's probably my favorite I've ever played.

Best game of all time in my opinion. Beat every boss in the game, and it took a long time

Hopefully we get the DLC soon, or even an announcement.

Incredible game. If this is your first fromsoft experience, you should strongly consider picking up the dark souls series as well. They are more linear than Elden Ring but very similar in terms of combat mechanics and storytelling.

Totally agree. I took my time with it and didn't rush through cause I was enjoying it so much. I think the Haligtree area was my favorite because it was hard af and I got to use so much different stuff on all the different enemies. I think I used every different type of weapon I had, plus a bunch of incantations that I'd never used up until that point in the game.

Can't wait for the Dlc. Dark Souls 3 is up next on my Playlist.

This. I tried to see every inch of the map and kill 100% of the bosses.

Top 5 game all time for me.

I spent I think 250 hours searching everywhere to 100% on my first playthrough. Then I realized on a 2nd and 3rd run there were still places I had never discovered

I think I'm at like around 300 hours. I was just enjoying the hell out of exploring everything I could find. I am trying to decide now if I want to do an NG+, start a brand new run from ground zero, or play Dark Souls 3. There are so many awesome looking weapons and spells that I collected but didn't get a chance to use on my first playthrough cause I didn't have high enough intelligence or strength. I did a faith/dex build on this one and absolutely loved it. The envoy's long horn was a game changer when I was finally able to get it. It was a pain in the arse to get, but it absolutely melts bosses.

That's probably a good call. the OG Dark Souls (Remastered) is too different from Elden Ring and it'll feel weird AF. DS 3 is close enough that it won't be a drastic change of pace for you. My order of playthrough was Demon's Souls Remake, Elden Ring, DS1 Remastered, Bloodborne, DS2, DS3. If I had to do it over again (after Demon's Souls and Elden Ring), I would have played DS3, DS2, then DS1. DS1 is easily the best of the 3 in my opinion, but it would be a tough transition from Elden Ring.

What makes DS1 the best in your opinion?

Elden Ring is the only FS game I've played - spent almost 200 hours in it and 100%'d. I purchased the DS series and have debated playing through them one day.

I’ve played them all and my ranking would be:

1. Elden Ring
2. DS3
3. Demon Souls
4. DS1
5. DS2

I’d put Bloodborne probably third or 4th

The “best” DkS game is utterly predicated on what you are looking for out of the game. DkS1 has by far the best lore and the best interconnected map, but has somewhat clunky combat. DkS2 has the best PvP and the most interesting/unique combat and builds, but by far the worst world/map in the series, and enemy placement is… interesting, to say the least. DkS3 has the most polished combat, graphics, and systems, its map/world falls in the middle, and its lore is kinda meh.

Personally, I’ve beaten 1 7-8 times, 2 once, and 3 twice. But DkS1 is basically my meditation game now. So while it might be my “favorite” and I would say the peak “Dark Souls experience”, I would say 3 is the best “game” of the group. 2 is an acquired taste…

How the world interconnects without having to use magic portals or gateways. It was just a neat design. Plus, you can just parry the shite out of almost anything stupidly easy.

And use the souls and items glitches to over level super early and just go on a rampage of destruction.

This is a good summary of something that is as subjective a topic as ranking games in the "series".

D1 = the interconnected map was mindblowing to me. By the time I started it, I had only played Demon Souls, where each world was one long linear run, and Elden Ring which was a huge open world. D1 was completely different than either of the 2.

D2 = was fun but nothing about it stood out to me at the time I played it.

D3 = felt the closest to Elden Ring's combat and graphincs, which to me is the pinnacle of the medieval-ish FS games in both categories, as it should be

Git gud scrub casul! Easy baby game for babies!!!

*cough*

Jokes aside, and I’ve only done it once, but firing up a DkS1 NG+ and deus vult-ing the ever living frick out of those gargoyles with sunlight spear after they tortured me so on my first playthrough is one of my all time guilty pleasure gaming moments

Oh I've done it plenty without. It's 100% cheating. But so much damn fun.
