Over 22K right now. I went far in the game once and want to play it again, but starting over keeps me away. It's an amazing game of building and survival with shitty graphics.

I don't disagree, but given the complexity most people lose interest in games like this.

Mods are a huge reason for it's continued popularity

Love watching stampylongnose Minecraft videos

Rather watch them than a tv show most of the time. Been going through the videos he made when he first started in his lovely world. Currently on video #140

Achievement Hunter just had their 204th weekly episode posted today. Probably still their most popular videos. It's crazy.

The things people build in minecraft blow me away. I'm proud of a square house and then I watch Keralis feature someone building a multi-floored mansion with an indoor waterfall and beach bar. Then you have people recreating the entirety of Hyrule field with insane accuracy. Absolutely unreal.

Saw a video last night where someone has recreated Los Santos from GTA5. Blew my mind.

I know it's crazy. My friends 8 year old daughter puts me to shame with some of the things she builds.

Not really surprised, the game is huge with kids. It has been dropping off somewhat so they better have another hit lined up.

Yep. Besides all the sports games, Minecraft is the only game my 6-10yr old step brothers and their friends play.

I can't play with texture packs, love the original too much. Anything different just looks off

Minecraft will remain popular indefinitely because it appeals to everyone and anyone can play it. One of the main reasons it was worth every penny Microsoft paid for it.

The fact that has over 2 million views and overwhelming likes over dislikes and actual fans that go see them in concert reminds me how shitty this world is now.

Today it costs $27 and sells 10,000 copies a day. (It’s still popular across all age groups; according to Microsoft, the average player is between 28 and 29, and women make up nearly 40 percent of all players.)
