9 - 10???

Mario, Zelda, metroid, smash

And Zelda is almost done if not done. I think the release is being delayed to be a launch title

Bottom line is at $200 (if that's true) and delivering something as big as the things being rumored, they may potentially have crazy demand for it. We'll see. No one knows anything, it's all speculation and rumors

2D Mario, 3D Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Smash, Animal Crossing, Donkey Kong Country, and Splatoon. These are the titles that sell well, and what I would identify as the heavy hitters for them. I'm not counting fringe series like Pikmin, Fire Emblem, Mario Party, Yoshi, F-Zero, and Pokemon all of which should be expected to be on the new console.

I also think you're right on the Zelda delay. Delayed solely to be a NX launch title.

I do hope that Nintendo is able to put it together. Industry is better when everyone is competitive.

it will release on wii u as well, much like twilight princess

the rumors I've read from more than one place is that by heavy hitters

3d Mario
3d Zelda (done)
Metroid or DK Country
Smash

DK Country is retro studios, so they're not doing Metroid and DK with so much on the line.

I liked the 2d Mario for wii u, but they've squeezed all the pulp out of 2d Mario.

I would imagine they'd at least put out a Splatoon Remaster or something. Would be foolish to ignore their biggest new IP since Smash.

As for 2D Mario, you'd be surprised. The 2D ones sell better because of the couch co-op. I'm more of a 3D mario fan, so I'll be excited for a legit 3D Mario after 3D Land.

I've also read that they've secured 3rd party support from square and WB among others

basically, they're coming out swinging. I hope it's true, but the 2 potential pit falls are...

1. dev team stretched thin making quantity not quality

2. a long period of time between that time and the next round of big name releases.

again, if it really is $200...and it looks sleek, mark me down as preordering the frick out of it.

I don't know the sales, but I would imagine 3D Mario is a better console mover considering you're trying to showcase newer hardware (if that is the case)

If they get 3rd party games, I'd abandon my Xbox one with the quickness. I thought I would like a return to real 3rd party gaming, and I did play my Xbox one more than my WiiU for awhile, but outside of Overwatch, which is waning now, I just don't dig the same games over and over and over again.

I need a soccer game though, ugh. Mario Strikers 2!!!!

frick yes. Best sports game of the last generation.

I bought that shite at launch in 2007 and played it like 20 hours a day in Summer of 2007. Got to #1 on the online leaderboard using the name FUC|< YOU!!!

I was a fricking beast with Petey Pirhana, my sidekicks were Dry Bones, Monty Mole and Shy Guy

Think we will get Pokemon on this thing after Sun and Moon?

No. Pokemon is what sells the 3DS. I'm totally convinced we will never get a main series Pokemon game on a Nintendo home console. Plus the community with Pokemon is shattered by it not being handheld.

It's the reason why Smash on the 3DS was a bad idea. People played it for 2 months until the Wii-U version came out and never picked it up again. The whole game was limited by it being handheld, and Wii-U had far more features.

As Pokemon Go has shown, the power of Pokemon is it being mobile and on the go. Sure they'll probably make another Pokemon Stadium game where you can get the Pokemon you capture on the 3DS and battle them online, but that's about as far as I can see them taking it on the home console.

If the mobile processor is the new one we are waiting on from Intel or whatever, apparently it can run the Unreal engine. That's a nice start.

I don't understand hardware, translate

I have to be honest, this has potential and sounds like it has Nintendo innovation all over it.

This may be the most excited I've been for a console since the 64

I will never buy a mobile gaming device again.....

If they can nail 3rd Party support while having a console/mobile hybrid, I'll preorder on the first day I can.

Zelda GO, where you play Link and the real world is Hyrule and places have enemies and chests you have to fight and obtain.

Obviously the Wii Series was huge, but now is completely irrelevant.

Splatoon bigger than the other 3 on console. Easily.
