I played a game around 8+ years ago (could be older) and I cannot remember what it was. Now this may be too impossible of a question or I may already have my answer (Diablo 2) but what games had similar inventory interfaces to Diablo 2? See how the items in the inventory graphically took up more slots than one item slot if they were bigger than others. I'm looking for games that used this format. Thanks.

Baldurs Gate 2? It's a good bit older but it has a screen like that.

I just looked up baldurs gate inventory screen and the one I'm thinking of is still closer to Diablo's. The game I'm thinking of may in fact be diablo but I don't believe I've ever played a diablo game before. The most noticeable thing I'm looking at is how shields and weapons fill more than one inventory slot space.

Resident Evil 4 (and probably older RE games iirc) had an inventory system with square 'units' and items that were larger than one unit. Required you to watch what you were carrying and change your load outs wisely when going into areas.

ETA: Think you're talking more about action-rpg/fantasy type stuff than survival-horror, but it is an inventory system used by both a lot.

The first game I remember doing this (though I know there were predecessors) was System Shock 2.

Titan's Quest, which is very similar to Diablo, had that type of inventory management too.

Thanks for the help everyone! It was Fate (2005). Came as a preloaded trial on a PC we bought.

I hadn't heard of that one before. Although there are more Diablo clones than there are stars in the sky!

This is a link to the game's steam page:

LINK /

Edit: apparently, torchlight is slightly based off of Fate.

"Fate and Torchlight are very similar, mainly because the guy who made Fate joined up with some of the guys who made Diablo and together they made Torchlight."

lol back when those cookie cutter barb pvpers used angelics for ar.

Your screen is of Diablo 2.
Games with invys like it?
Dungeon Siege 1,2.
Diablo 1,Hellfire.
Titan Quest.
Path of Exile.
Torchlight 1,2.

But tbh what your talking about is most likely is the game Space Hack. Is a steam link so its good

Also have Darkstone.
throne of darkness
Divinity series
Sacred Series
VAMPIRE: THE MASQUERADE
Lionheart as well
All Diablo esque
