Gaming marathon stories

Saw Kotaku was doing this and I was just curious to hear some of the stories from the board. I'd post the link but safari keeps closing on my phone everytime I press the link button.
Here's mine:
Pretty much every year whenever FIFA comes out I go and get it at midnight and play as long as I can. I've been out of school for two years now so I have a job and whenever FIFA 15 came out I took off that Wednesday to play for as long as possible. All I play is the manager mode and I play every game and I interact with the youth squad intensely. Well I was thinking the most I'd play was maybe until 7-8 in the morning. But somehow I made it to 3 pm, thanks to coffee and Doritos. I slept until 9 pm and couldnt fall back asleep and then played all night again until I went to work the next day. That day of work was god awful, but I had a great time and I'll probably do the same this year.

I think I camped a mob in Everquest for upwards of 40 hours one weekend. Mob was on a 6 minute timer, so never had a chance to really take a break until I just couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. Went and passed out for like 2-3 hours and then went back to it. Never saw the fricking thing either.

Played MGS1 for 13 hours straight the day I got it. It was Christmas and I just played until I beat it. Played MGS2 8 hours or so straight. I got tired and realized I didn't have a memory card so I couldn't save. I got stuck on one part and decided to just go to sleep.

I one time played yahtzee for 7 minutes straight. It was a wild night indeed.

I've had multiple 8-10+ hour gaming sessions over the years. Mostly final fantasies, fps, and whatnot. One that stands out for me was about 10 years ago I played guitar hero 1 + 2 for about 10-12 hours trying to beat free bird and bark at the moon in expert. I finished around 8 in the morning and could barely move my fingers on my left hand. I thought I was going to get arthritis it hurt so bad.

WoW Burning Crusade launch

I've actually had a finger lock up for a little while. Once while playing TMNT at the arcade and again while playing Duke Nukem on PC. It was a weird feeling.

I remember beating Jak 3 in one sitting with my friends. Damn fun game

Kind of strange but the longest time I've played in one sitting is probably around 6-7 hours. Not exactly marathon classification.

I recently did a marathon stream of MGS1-3 Big Boss runs...took about 11 hours. Dont think I'll do that again.

When I was a teenager and a new resident evil or silent hill would come out for PlayStation.
I would buy a bag of potato chips, dip and coke a cola. Play through the game till I beat it. Id try to do it in 1 night.

On New Year's Eve, 1999, a friend and I stayed up all night playing through Silent Hill. We tried to beat it before the world came to an end.

The Sims 2 and it's expansions. I played that game for 12+ hours multiple times growing up.

Are stories from that young an option? I feel like that was a normal day back then.
