Who the frick are they going to donate them to? Homeless people?

Maybe all that stuff was traded in and was broken and useless when they got it.

All retail stores and manufacturers do this or else otherwise they would be competing with a secondary market of people on eBay doing what that guy done and dumpster diving for inventory.
Go to Home Depot when a new line of tools comes out and you will see brand new Dewalt tools with cords cut.
Coach bags will take a razor to their purses because they don't want bums walking around with their purses because then it would devalue the brand since it is based on exclusivity.
That guy in the video was an idiot. He was bitching at GS for not donating but then he was saying how he doesn't donate and was just looking for stuff for his own use. fricking moron.

There are plenty of reputable charities that would gladly take video games in addition to charities that are dedicated to providing games to sick or disabled children.

I am all for charity, but they would still be creating competition against themselves if any of those people or places receiving the donations sold them.
It's shitty but it's just business.

Yea I'm with you, but games that have low or no resale value could be donated. They buy a ton of used games for 1-50 cents. Just my opinion.

Oh and lol at the guy in the video saying he could put a cord back together because he knew electrical engineering.

I don't get out much, so it's always fun to be reminded that people like him exist.

Is it still cool to hate on gamestop? Yes they buy low and sell high, because that's the only way a store like that can stay in business. If you don't like them just don't shop there and they will die out.

Every retail place throws stuff out. It stinks, but because of people who dumpster dive, you gotta destroy the stuff first.
