Sad to this site go down but not surprised. They were pioneers doing stuff in the early 2000's that we would later see on Youtube and Twitch

GT/ScrewAttack started it all IMO. They have declined years ago though.

Things got bad after Viacom sold them off but they made do with what they had. They had a lot of great content prior to the sale. Some content after that was pretty terrible but their reviews were solid and Kyle Bosman made me laugh sometimes.

Kotaku does some dumb shite but they actually stopped getting review copies of many games because they were breaking real stories

Ugh, that sucks! I loved their Pop Fiction videos (like Mythbusters, but for video games) and I enjoyed their retrospectives as well. I hope their content gets archived on Youtube.

I enjoyed their video reviews but they're a dinosaur with all the online video options.
