Ever take a moment to enjoy just how FIRE this music is?
That’s the link to Big Blue from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I mean come on. It’s a KID’S RACING GAME (ok not really) for crying out loud. Amazing what people can do with video games these days isn’t it?

I read somewhere that we should give up hope, because it's just not going to happen unfortunately
I think the sales for the last 2 were abysmal, like really really abysmal, and something like the director for them was gone, and it just wasn't worth the resources anymore. While Mario Kart makes them bank, it's kinda sad though.
I would love another one, I love me some twitchy-racing games... but none of the recent releases, because they are all wanna-be f-zeros with no good music or track ideas.
ETA: watching that video gave me such nostalgia... I built a racer in that game that absolutely destroyed the competition. I think I ended up beating the director's ghost on every track with ease after building it

And yeah, I haven't found a satisfactory alternative either. I see a lot of love for Wipeout but that series has always felt so slow and floaty compared to F-Zero's break neck speed and precise controls.
