Did you guys run Garuda with 1 tank last night?
I did the 1 tank setup with my cousin and his jaw dropped, he tried Garuda yesterday a few times with Duty Finder and gave up, I don't blame him
ETA: When I was beating Garuda 2 nights ago, we were killing her before the blue "eye of the storm" was even popping up.. now THAT is intense

Can you do it without DF? Looks like it makes you do 2 tanks. Unless you are putting together a full party beforehand, I suppose.

Put a full party together before you DF up, that's what a lot of people do.. I call those "PUG" groups. DF groups are random from random people on all servers.

He's been running with his cousin. Did AK with them the other day. Now that I think of it, he's a PLD.

Been running with non-TD friends mostly.
I'm a PLD. Two friends are desparate for Coil. One is WHM and the other is a MNK (that also has every melee class maxed). There a few others that I play with every now and then, but I play with those two just about every day.

I wasn't ranked high enough to buy a weapon worth it. Plus, I have Ifrit's Bow, which I think I didn't use when we ran. Might have been the stripped down relic bow. I'm close to finishing relic so I decided to wait it out.

You did not. Would have done a lot more damage had you used it. You only have to use that unfinished relic weapon where the quest says you have to.

Do you know how Garuda's stacks up? Might take some time to gear up on DL before tackling Titan, so I might do a few Garuda runs to see if I can get that one.

Since I'm getting relic, I'm more interested in Garuda's Lance or whatever it's called. Having the bow would be nice when I finally take on Titan, though.

It's crazy.. but even if you have it for 12 hours, and use it for Titan.. it's worth it for THAT fight.
I was using moogle sword until titan, then I used my Garuda sword for only Titan.. I literally used my Garuda sword for 5 hours then dropped it, but it was worth it.

I don't know about Bards, but my Garuda weapon is much better than the Ifrit weapon.
The situation for Titan is also different. I have 4 pieces of DL (including my leg+feet combo, which is two pieces), and that's not enough.

I imagine having DL is more vital to the tank than it is to the DPS.

Yeah, I know. But having better gear typically helps since user skill isn't exactly at an all time high in this.
