Favs- Garrus,Liara,Kasumi & Wrex. They were always true and would give it up for Shep. Good in battle too.

Saren is easily the best villain in the series.

I'm only about a 1/4 of the way thru the first one by my estimation so he's the only villain I really know 
I just like that he's a rogue spectre that just wrecks shop, regardless of who gets hurt.

Samara served that purpose in 2 and her story was solid.

Funny you say that. I was at a point where a door opens automatically and there are 2 snipers and 2-3 guards. I had a system where I would walk in, blast a couple, back out, repeat and used the door as a shield. I backed out and she got stuck in there. I went back in and she had taken out the whole room!

Loved tali, liara and thane too.
I agree about the three Js - all three were very one dimensional characters and boring - though I do admit to using Jack an awful lot in ME2. She was badass in the biotics department.
