I haven't seen anything confirmed on this but a lot of people on YouTube and twitter are saying EA has a game or two that they'll announce as a surprise at EA Play (June 10-12). A lot of people, including me, expect it to be a new Fight Night (and I'd be extremely happy with that), but I can't help but wish it was a new NCAA football or basketball game. They CAN make a game with generic rosters, they just haven't yet. Maybe now they will? 99% chance they don't, but I'll be watching this weekend to make sure.

Wishful thinking. I don't think they can use the NCAA logo or any conferences either. Thanks Sam Keller you no talent hack.

The NCAA doesn't want any trouble so they took away EA's rights to use them in the games bc they didn't want to be involved in any lawsuits. If EA decided to make the teams with generic players then there wouldn't be a problem and no way to be sued, then the NCAA wouldn't get in trouble.

Same goes for any conferences or schools that backed out

Good luck marketing a college football game with no real college football teams, fight songs and generic rosters.

No one's buying that shite.

They will bring back an old game, do a roster update and charge you $60.

This all could've been fricking avoided if they just did random rosters like they did with the NCAA baseball game. Random rosters with the ability for the user to edit.

EA won't attempt to bring the game back unless they can use real teams and fight songs. But they'll have to use generic rosters. I would buy a game like that. All we'd have to do is download the real rosters from Operation Sports and then you'd have the game back.

Was that not what they did on the football games? MSU didn't have Dak Prescott at QB they had random black "QB #15" until you changed the name via roster edit.

He means instead of having it identical to real players, have Dak Prescott be a Mexican wearing #8. Every player would be absolutely random. None of them would look like the real players

The problem is that, for the most part, the entire roster of every team had the correct jersey #s, heights, and weights of the real-life counterparts. That's why you keep hearing about them using a player's "likeness." Yes, NCAA 14 only had a certain number of generic looking faces, but when the heights, weights, and jerseys are precisely matched with those that are on each team's official website, then you have problems.
