Do you really need 120hz refresh rate when gaming

on a 32" or smaller TV with 1080p? Can you get away with 60hz?

I wouldn't ever go 60HZ. I bought a small TV to use as a monitor and it was so blurry I could barely read text

Ive wondered that too. Console games are usually either 30 or 60 fps, so i dont see how it would matter. Im about as far from being an expert on the matter as you can get though.

Ideally you want your tv to have a 'game mode' . For gaming you can turn off the motion smoothness since they are always in 30 or 60 FPS.

EDIT: Sort of on topic, does your ASUS 4K do 120hz at 1080P?
