Stand at a distance, wait for attack and do so right after and back off. Rinse and repeat.

My problem is every time I would make the run for his right feet, he would fly up in the air and spray me with his pillar of flame bullshite. I could never get him to do his forward breath attack. But I think I need to bait him into that attack, instead of rushing too soon to his feet.

Just wait. You can usually see the beginning of his fire aoe animation and when you do, get close to the edge of the arena. I stood laterally to his front paw, and he spammed his fire breath and I'd run up and hit him between the digits a few times and back off.

Actually, it looks like I can easily pick up Gower's Ring on this current run. Which means I can now cancel out his bullshite.

It's really not worth it. You'll only be able to take 2 or 3 hits and it will weigh you down.

You can't negate it, just hope that you're out of range. There's a reason why you see most people in the nude while fighting it; besides cloranthy ring and ring of blades, it doesn't matter what you wear or have on. It's extremely unfair. I've beaten it once but will never attempt it again. You're meant to fail.

Seriously took like 7 hours but I beat the ancient dragon.

Killing him is 120,000 souls. I want his soul (worth 10k I think) so I can kill King Vendrick easier.
What weapons are ya'll using? I just changed my stats around to become a mage but I still want a solid weapon. I'm using a Claymore +10.
