Finally saw what you guys were talking about with the Rotten one shooting people. Was fulfilling my Jolly Sunbro duties helping someone out, when soon as we both get through the mist wall he was already dead. I could't stop laughing thinking how mad he must have been.
Also, I lost 170k souls not paying attention after killing the two giants in Black Gulch. Fell to my death in the holes next to the iron cage that takes you up.

I think I've been playing backwards. I beat a ton of harder bosses (sinner, rotten, freja...) and I took out the jabba the hut looking guy in like 8 hits and I didn't get touched

Yeah.. the king is getting on my fricking nerves. Its like he knows exactly when I plan on using estus or a spell because he goes from facing the other way, sword in the ground, halfway a fricking sleep to spinning around and sprinting like Usain Bolt swinging that empire state building he calls a sword right on my fricking head, one shoting me.

The lizard creatures in the Shrine of Amana (sp?) drops them a lot too.

Stay behind his right leg (and close to him) it's a safe zone... This is obviously easier said than done, but his massive swing hit box ends just before it can hit you there

Not even close to the King yet but I would think this description is dead on accurate. Figured out what the Forgotten Key was for and found Havels Armor! And that bitch Freja is now dead!!

Jealous that most of ya'll have had so much time to put into this game and already beat it once and maybe twice.
But at the same time, I think I'm only about 60% through so I still have lots of exploring to do and would probably be wishing I hadn't beaten it already.

I created a new character, a hex / dex build. So must fun. I found sorcery kind of shallow in DS, but it's much more versatile in this game. Plan on upping my dex to be able to use either the warped sword or black steel katana and infuse it with dark.
Destroying scrubs has never been more fun.

Yea I'm starting to think i may like this one more. I love that it's still dark souls with enough different that it doesn't get stale

I had a similar problem when I was fighting Freja and realized I was hardly doing any damage. Realized I missed a big chunk of the early parts of the game. And there you can find the first.
Made a huge difference when I was able to forge new weapons.
