I'm thinking there is a bonfire even closer to the mistwall as well.

Maybe. The bonfire to the left as soon as you walk isn't that far away, though. I wouldn't have thought they'd put bonfires right next to each other like that in the same area

There is another bonfire pretty much right across from that ledge you drop off into the main room FWIW.
The two bonfires are pretty close, but it is no surprise with the poison statues mixed with the big snake things and tar monsters.

I remember seeing messages down there but was too busy being poisoned and chased by those creepy black hand things to care.
I did find the bonfire that is right by the mist wall on that little ledge.

I was rolling away from the giant worm/snake and fell off the cliff. I looked away from the screen to play with my phone and after a minute I didn't hear the "You died" screen. I looked up and there was my guy just chilling on a ledge
At first I thought I was stuck b/c there's a door right there I don't have the key to, but then I slowly looked around and once my vision adjusted I saw the other cliff. Just hopped down twice and found the rest

Once the wife and daugher got back in town my play time got cut significantly. I'd like to play more but it's cool. You can only enjoy the first play thru once and I get to enjoy it longer than the rest of you jerks

Lost Sinner is the only thing in my way in NG+2.

I managed to summon two players to help me on the Last Sinner in NG+. Those guys do some serious damage and focusing on them leaves you open to being insta-killed by the sinner.

I'm trying to solo it on covenant of champs. It sucks that you can't at least summon an npc, and can't even get far enough for the bullshite pyromancers to jump down. Everything the LS does eats my stamina, and I'm dead in two hits.

Just got invaded and kicked the dude's arse. He snuck up and backstabbed. I jumped off ledge, hit an estus, he followed, I backstabbed when he landed and proceeded to chop him down real quick

Him: not my fault you didn't know I was there. your just cheap
Me: not my fault u didn't get another hit after that backstab. I didn't even need the estus fwiw....
