yea can't believe it was March of last year when this thread was posted in
CoC is stale old news at this point. That said, there are lots of imitators out there. But none have been able to topple CoC as king of its genre.

I actually am more into CoC than I have been in the last 6 months. I really liked the TH11 update, although most don't seem to.

They have programs that can basically recreate a base, and you can simulate different attacks and methods until you 3*. Theses clans are referred to as modding clans.

Luckily we have yet to run into one of these clans. What makes them fairly easy to spot is the bottom members of the war drop one barb on the top bases and then quit. This allows the base to be loaded into the modded platform.
Time of war start plays a huge part in who you get paired with. We out of coincidence and necessity start wars around 9 pm central and usually get hooked up with really rushed foreign (not Asian) clans that we crush. 10 vs 10 though. 6 min search time with a restart of search if not paired.

Game is on a steep decline imo. They lost way too many players in December and its just super stale all the way up until TH10.
The hero and wall grinds at 9 are retarded. I am basically playing the game to put heroes to sleep, then not play for a week. Rinse and repeat.

I've been fully maxed besides heroes and walls since Jan 1st.
I really wonder why I even play anymore. The grind isn't really fun.

I'm in that same boat. Heroes and walls are all I have left at th9. Been that way for probably close to a year now. They probably make their most money at th9 with people trying to make the jump to 10. You either get rushed into at th10, spend a shite load of money to get there the right way, or spend years at th9.

I think I play more out of habit than enjoyment. Interest is waning and unless there is another big update soon, i'll probably quit

War is what keeps me playing. Being in td war keeps the game fun and challenging. I also want to reach that Max th9. Don't know if I will ever move to th10 really. After this kind of grind to max 9, I can't imagine what 10 is like.
