Oh, and if we can just throw in a vote for a random game, you need to play "Mark of the Ninja."
I've mentioned it a few times on this board and I just beat it a few weeks ago.
It has awesome gameplay, great hand-drawn graphics, and an interesting little story with a small twist at the end that I didn't see coming.
Hanging up a dead guard in a spot light so his buddy can stumble upon him, causing him to freak out and allow me to get the jump on him, is some of the most fun I've had playing a game in a while.

Looks like Mass Effect and Uncharted in the lead.

I'd say that ME1 is the best of the trilogy, so you're definitely missing out if you skip it.

I plan on starting from the first for sure. I hate jumping into a game series without playing the previous ones. That's why I miss so many good games, because I won't play 2 or 3 before 1 so they just pile up while I keep saying I'll find time to start from the beginning.

Same here, but if I'm desperate I'll hit up Wikipedia and Youtube for a plot synopsis. If you are going to dive into ME, you should start with 1, despite 2 being better.
