It should not be too long for IOS, we usually are 3-4 weeks behind and that update is just a hero.
I did all 10 of the hero expedition challenges for the first time this morning.
If any of you android folks have hints or tips for us IOS folk on doing the mesa boss I they would be much appreciated.
Currently we have one PD level capped at 140. My heroes are the higher level heroes, including the PD and get to the boss too fast. The PD usually being the first or second there. All my melee guys get wiped quick.
We start in the lower corner as someone here recommended. What would the right mix of heroes be for us? I run with a 161 TG (5/9), 140 PD (7/9), 148 Dru (5/9), Cupid (7/9), Mino 129 (6/9). Should I switch any of those? What should the others go with? Right now it is luck if the PD survives and we can't win without him.

You need dragon, succubus, shaman or frost bitch in the line up to knock down his damage and keep pd alive.
I find shaman works best. And TG is the hero you need to replace.
If you dont have a debuff option listed above, SM, reaper, sz, immortep are all better options than TG

Does the Succubus effect stack with one another? I guess I need to get a shaman and level him too. I have a 120 frost witch 4/9.

Shaman does massive damage control. Get a couple of those stacking with PD and the boss can't kill anything.

So it looks like the best Mesa 2 strategy is starting at all 4 corners of the map. The Mesa 1 strategy of going straight for the boss doesn't work because there are more distractions and chances for guys to wander off. It's better for each player to take 1/4 of the base and then converge on the boss. The main problem is all the hero traps killing off guys (especially PD) before they can make it to the boss, so each player's team setup is important. Really good strategy discussion here.

Is it better to save up a couple thousand gems to roll at once or just roll them as soon as you get 150 or 450?

Thanks again wasteland. We traded out my TG for my succubus and he dies quick. Night and day different. We have only lost one since. That was when the PD bonzaied into the boss.

I just had a 160+ dude run through my base and fricking backed out at 87% leaving me like 2 hours of shield. a-hole bastard.

i wake up to 10+ attacks every morning, all 20% damaged and i have no gold left

I never do that, but I will hit and run when i have to "destroy four hero bases" and stuff like that.

Nice, with 4 PDs its pretty easy to just roll right through Mesa 2.

I typically just roll a 450 when I get up to at least 750 total. I like the look of rolling 3 at a time and at least have the 300 needed to the skill re-roll quest. I rolled a 450 last night and got a Druid and 2 champion slimes. I saw all that purple and got very excited.

I really like that they went with the tombstone decoration adding 2 new gold savings banks.
