I don't split 10s because I don't think it is the right play.

But either way, you would normally seem like a guy that doesn't care what everyone else next to them thinks.

I'm guessing it has happened to you, but I would be very surprised if anyone really ever gets visibly or verbally pissed off at you while playing blackjack.

If I see someone do this, I pick up my chips and move to another table. It is 100% the wrong play and only hurts you and everyone else at the table when you make it. Step 1 in blackjack is look at the dealer's upcard. So many people do not do this, it is amazing... I need to open my own casino...

No I absolutely look at his card. If it's a 7,8,9,10 or face I stay. if it's anything else i'm splitting. People have verbally said I was playing wrong and I told them what I said here. If you don't like the way I am playing, you may offer up some of your chips and tell me how to play. I'm sorry. I'm not there to win anyone else money. It's me vs the dealer in my eyes. People will always hate me for it, and that's fine.

You are helping the dealer when you split 10s.

All I am saying is that what helps you beat the dealer will also benefit (or at least not mess over) the players around you.

Unless there is someone counting cards, there's really no way of knowing if the next card after splitting will help me or the dealer. Let's say I have two tens and the next action goes to the dealer who is showing a 9. If I don't split, and there are people who have 17/18, that next card could be a 10 or face. I'd get bitched at for not splitting and letting the dealer win.

Craps is a game that I have never been able to fully grasp the concept of. So many lines to bet on.. Makes my head spin just thinking about it.

Craps is as simple as you wanna make it

Best bet in the house is max odds on pass or don't pass

All the other craps bets are shitty odds to make sure they get your money faster than pass/don't

That is the point. You are splitting up a hand that only one outcome can beat for double your money at a lesser chance. Your expected value instantly becomes less.

Then they don't know how to play the game and you shouldn't give two shits.

craps

it only takes 1 hot roller for everyone to clean up. I've seen guys shoot for an hour+, and they had to color everyone up from black to purple, we cleaned them out of black. It was the first time i had laid 10X the odds on backend. Everyone was cleaning up back there, so i felt left out. He was hitting 4,5,6,8,9,10 roll after roll.
Of course the pit boss took the dice out of play 2 times, claiming they had a nick on the corner.

Was killing the hard 4 and the 5.

Craps will also have that guy, the dooosh who thinks he's smart and bets against everyone on the do not pass line. He sits back and enjoys himself as the dice get cold, but when roller gets hot, he's crying and getting pissed.

Best bet for craps is to find some craps game online and practice. learn the bets, etc.

so as long as the roller doesn't roll a 7 everyone wins? Or is it the number rolled is the winner? What are the payouts?

Saw some dude walk up to my table I was at. Started playing min bets. When he got the dice he hit numbers.

Started betting hundred dollar chips.

About 15 min later he's up several thousand and leaves

ok, you stand at table.

u have option to bet on pass line, do not pass, etc. He rolls, 7 or 11 instant winner. 2, 3, or 12, and you lose instantly. If he rolls a 4,5,6,8,9, or 10, that's his point. He has to hit that number before rolling a 7, to win his pass line bet and any odds he laid behind it.

he can roll 2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11,12 all he wants, once he has a point to shoot at, and people will play the numbers. odds are 6/5 on 6 and 8 7/5 on 5 and 9 and 9/5 on 4 and 10, but you should buy odds on the 4 and 10 at 2/1.

Also, if point is a 4, you have to lay a hard 4 bet. thus a cleaning up(hard 4 pays 7/1) if you hit it, and you get paid for hitting your point.

Money can go fast in it, if the rollers are cold, but people can win 10's of thousands pressing bets on hot rollers.

It can be confusing, once you learn, it's a fun game

It is really a lot easier than it sounds. It is just hard to describe in text.

Here is my attempt at a simplified version:

The dice throwers basic goal is to roll a number twice in a row.

You bet the pass line to bet that he does and the do not pass to bet that he doesn't.

On his first roll, 7 or 11 are instant winners. 2, 3, and 12 are instant losers. So if he rolls anything other than those 5 numbers, that number is set and is the number he will try to roll a second time.

Once that number is set, 7 is an instant loser and the number you set is a winner. Meanwhile hitting any other number means the thrower throws again. People bet on these throws and that is what most of all the extra stuff on the table you see is.

After a 7 is hit and everyone loses or the person throws his number a second time, you do it all over again and the next person around the table throws the dice.

See...EASY!!

Best thing is to play it on a game. try shite out, make all kinds of wagers, figure it out, for free.

then give it a try with some one who knows how to play, or go out and talk to the stick guy and rail workers and they will help u out.

The hell it is. There are so many "unwritten rules" that you "should" follow when playing Blackjack. I can't stand playing Blackjack because I get bitched at for splitting 10's, or hitting at a certain numbers. If you want me to play to your standards, give me some of your money and you can tell me how to play whenever you want. I hate how people expect you to play to help everyone beat the dealer. No frick that. It's my money, I am trying to win money for me. If it helps you win, awesome but I am not going to go out of my way and stay at 12 just to give you that good card to win.

This is so accurate. It's the main reason I won't play blackjack unless I'm with a group of friends that takes up most of the table. Otherwise, people go crazy on you for stupid shite.

Go play roulette, bet equal amounts on the 2nd and 3rd tweleve.

either that or place a bet on the 1st twelve and place double that bet on the "19-36". You're covering nearly 80% that way. Hit the 1st tweleve, break even. Hit the "19-36", win your bet. Not vastly exciting, but your odds are high. Lose big when you don't hit though.
