I haven't noticed great leaps in difficulty in the boss fights. The biggest difference to me has just been the ordinary enemies. Running into 6 level 51 Bullymongs is a real pain.

this i can always find a way to kill the bosses.
but it's the numerous numerous amounts of enemies in TVHM that i struggle with. I don't even want ot think about Caustic Caverns TVHM.

Used a golden key yesterday and gotten two 22 level smg's one pink the other purple with 150 to over 200 damage. Both with with corrosive and shock element. Gunzerking with those two has made me unstoppable.

So some guys I was playing with were power leveling my Axton alt in TVHM as they were completing the story quests. Now that I'm in TVHM I've gotten to skip a mission or two because I completed them in co-op.
Well, this last time I got the opportunity to skip ahead was just after the Sanctuary flying away mission. I ended up skipping all the way to the mission where you attack the bunker and Angel (skipped the quest to meet Brick, the quest with Bloodwing, the quest in Opportunity, etc). I'm currently level 36 and the enemies are level 46.
