Thats funny but some of it is wrong. "Dad" killed himself to keep the enclave from taking the water purifcation because they were gonna use it to rule the land. Whoever had clean water ruled capital wasteland while "dad" wanted it to be for everyone. And the purifier does have a reason to exist since there is very little clean water. Col Autumn does have a reason to be there since he is the face of the enclave who are trying to take said purifier for their own power and control.
How would the GECK be better served than making clean water for everyone?
I do agree that it makes much more sense for Fawkes or the ghoul to go in there and turn on the machine though lol

But it's not guaranteed that you'll have either one of them as a companion.

wtf, i thought you could just kill the guy
You duel the main guy, he's hunting I believe with his brother in law or brother and you can kill him as well before he runs away.
You also meet his wife before you run into him. Yougo to their house and she tells you where he is. It doesn't prompt you to do anything, but afterwards you can go back and kill her.

I have to agree with FFVI. Everything was on the line and, halfway through, the bad guy actually does what he says he's going to do.
That game had everything. Action, comedy, drama, even the emotional opera scene.

Mass Effect series
Dragon Age: Origins (Both made by BioWare)
Ocarina of Time
Final Fantasy 7
Final Fantasy 15 (Could still be honeymoon phase after just beating it but I thoroughly enjoyed the story, even if it's not hand-fed to you)
Undertale
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Dark Souls Lore
Persona 4

Any platform?
Legend of Dragoon. Wonderful story and character development, and an extremely intriguing concept.

I like certain aspects of the story in the vanilla game, but the stuff in the main arc as it relates to Ciri is little contrived.

Dark Souls Lore
Incredibly inaccessible, but I fell in love with the crackpot theories, the way you had to piece together everything, the subtle hints, and just the general open ended nature of the plot. It was beautifully done and learning the plot was a game in and of itself. Ever since playing the Souls games I've been disappointed that I've been spoon fed the storyline in every other title i play. None have ever matched up.

The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker has a fantastic story for a Zelda title.

This is an excellent choice. The writing in that game was so tight, and so good. I'd say it's probably the best writing in a Nintendo game that I've seen (even if OOT had a better plot).
It's legitimately funny. Hell, it's hilarious. Up there with Portal IMO.

Bioshock solely for the twist. The best in any game I've ever played.
MGS1 and MGS2 had me on the edge of my seat. Once you realize that things are more than they appear it feels great and you just want to learn more and more.
Silent Hill 2 was awesome too.
