Game comes to Xbox One's preview program (early access) on Wednesday. I've really been looking forward to this coming out since it was announced.
It has been in early access for a while on PC. I think the full release is coming in July to all platforms.

My brother in law had been playing it a ton until fallout 4 came out. It did look pretty good, it has been a while since there was a good dinosaur game. They are remastering the first two Turoks from the N64, but I can't remember if that's just on PC or gonna be across all platforms.

I would probably have about 1000 hours, had I not gotten completely burnt out on H1Z1 right before launch. definitely get a group if you plan to play on PvP, group XP is a major thing. Expect plenty of griefing if there are no private servers.

I might grab it just because its a fresh start and ive only gamed on my xbone for about 15 hours ever. Lets get a TD clan going on a server. Don't get used to having your own shite because everything is shareable inside the tribe.

It requires a ton of time sink unless they revamped taming since I played. shite took hours of non stop play to get the big dinos. Was a pain in the arse.
It was a fun game, but I started playing private server only so we could revamp taming time. I didn't have 4-6 hours to do nothing but play this game to get a T-Rex. Then just got bored cause we never had enough people to make PVP/base raiding fun.

Oh i remember, i still logged 100 hours at launch for PC. 3 hours for a stego, 5 hours for a bronto. Half the time the little shite would somehow wake up right before the tame finished even though it was at 50% unconcious.
Best way to level when I quit was to just tame a raptor and run around killing every other dino you saw. Guys were getting to max level in 2 days.

Interested to see how the private servers work. Some of the things I have read haven't been ideal.
It mentioned you can host one if you have an extra xbox one and extra XBL account or you can have one with only 4 players without that. I am still wondering if the first option is just meant, so you can have it running when you don't want to play. It would suck my friends and I can't play in the same server unless it is public if there is more than 4 of us on at a time.

probably just have to deal with public servers for now. If you get upset easily id recommend PvE, or maybe a hard core server where you retart at level 1 when you die.

My only worry about the public servers is that I've heard it is a bitch to take care of your tamed dino's on them.
I don't think it will be an issue that often because most of my friends will either be playing Siege or not on for the most part. Doubt we have more than 4 that often.
It does sort of put a damper on us having a TD private server.

the more i think about it the more i realize you really cant play this game part time or casually, unless you have a full time active tribe to mooch shite off of when you do play.

I'm pretty pumped about this. And the taming has gotten worse with the new Dinos and higher Dino levels. A level 120 Quetzal takes just over 24 hours using raw meat. But obviously you aren't going to do that, you use kibble instead of mean and it takes the time down to a little less than 5.
Does anyone know what time it actually releases Wednesday?

theres an 18G update you might want to download now. change your location to new Zealand and purchase the free trial. launch it to get the update. toehrwise you wont be playing at midnight

So I thought if I bought on smartglass it would automatically download (it's supposed to). But, it didn't, so I'm stuck watching the download that I couldn't start until almost 1 AM.
