Anyone have a significant other who isn't a fan of your video games?

How do you deal with the situation? My girlfriend hates that I will sometimes play for a few hours a day. It's very work dependent (i.e. I play more on easier months on the job) but my job is pretty stressful and I enjoy the distraction that video games offer. Anyone else deal with this kind of issue? How do you find a happy medium? Just trying to keep the peace in the house while still enjoying my mindless relaxation time in front of the console.

Get a gameroom. Let her have the living room to watch other shite shows you don't like to watch. Both happy. Have the secs afterwards. Compromise on some shite. Watch good shows together every once in a while.

As an adult this is a must. Keep your nice shtt locked up from kids and others. I call it my computer room, just my BS toys, games and PCs in a spare 12x16 room.

Let her have the house.

Same here. This is why I'm just planning on marrying an 18 y/o when I'm 35-40. Nobody is dictating what I do with my free time

Lol no girl is telling me when I can/can't play video games or getting mad at me for playing them, she would be out as quickly as she came.

I just told my gf when we met this is who I am and I was honest about how much I play sometimes, like pulling all nighter marathons.

And if she had a problem with it then I wouldn't date her lol.

Ahe bitches sometimes but she deals with it.

At least it's not a wife.

If you are hanging out every now and then, she doesn't want to watch you game

Now, if you are married, the wife will get used to it

Yeah this is dumb, no relationship will work without compromise. Can't sit on your arse and ignore her or your kids if you get that far, but both people need their cool down time as well.

Maybe for you, but I live my life for myself and myself only. I do what I want when I want and do not want kids or marriage probably ever, I think marriage is a sham and I enjoy my freedom without having to please some woman by doing shite I don't want to do for a piece of pussy once a month.

I just give her the D first. She's pretty happy after that.

I feel the exact same way.

I've even told my gf that, but she thinks I'm kidding I guess.

I showed her where the door was and how to open it.

No issues after that.

Yup, I have great close friends. Keep them close, women can fly by night as they please.
