I'm just pointing out the enjoyment you get out of a game that defines mediocrity. This is coming from someone who's played a lot of Destiny.
Fallout may not be your cup of tea, but it ain't "meh."

Just because you can play it alone doesn't make it a single player game. No one would describe Destiny as a single player game

Pretty much what Gardoki said.
Destiny's story blows. I don't play alone, nor have I ever. Most of my hours are PVP and the other hours are raids or co-op. I would never play it as a single player game. It is very meh as a stand alone 1 player game.
I clearly said, a good story is what I look for when playing solo. Last of Us has that, Fallout did not (from what I played). Even the emotion of losing your son and wife being murdered in front of you was empty. Didn't give one frick.
I will admit that Last of Us does not have great combat.

I'm not far into it but I haven't heard anyone say the story is anything special at all. I enjoy it so far and it is more because of setting and I am craving a single player game since I play so much Destiny. Sometimes it just doesn't do it for you. I thought Inquisition was overrated last year, not bad, just not as good as people made it.

Of course it doesn't, but you don't see me calling a critically acclaimed and we'll reviewed game like F4 "meh" when I am knee deep in an other less critically acclaimed and worse reviewed game where the developers more than admitted they screwed up.

It doesn't seem like a very story driven game. The fun comes in the variety of quests and shite to do.

The reviews were more complicated for destiny also. Like an MMO, it's hard to review as the meat of the game is at the endgame. Now the terrible story and expectation hurt it too.

Never been Bethesda's strong suit, or really a skillset of theirs at all. What's bad about it though? I thought it was essentially a FPS. That seems hard to screw up.
