Half-Life and the 3 off shoots ruled my 90s childhood.

Anyone play Deadlock? That was a good one.
Also enjoyed any and all Sierra games. Especially Kings Quest

Totally Forgot:
This game was bad arse. I never completed it because I was near the very end and died, then accidentally saved while I was dead. I don't think that's even possible in PC games any more
Didn't realize they made a sequel until I was an adult.

I used to play muds on BBS systems when I first got my PC in 1996.
Legend of the red dragon and some Mafia game. Think it was $1 per hour
First mmo wasn't until daoc in 2001 though

Ya, pretty much ruined the rest of the decade 1997 to 2000 for me.
Probably all I really played from 7th grade til maybe junior year of HS.
What sucked is my oldest brother also was into it and we had one computer and dial up. Summer and weekends were pretty brutal, we'd play shifts and I'd be up til 5 or 6AM chopping trees or cutting leather or something to make gold

BBS's...man those were the days.
Barren Realms Elite and Solar Realms Elite. So basic and so much fun.

You haven't lived until you try connecting online with a 400 baud external modem.

Downloading gif's took 20 minutes or more and there was no preview so you HOPED people got the description right.
I think some of the GIF poster were the original internet trolls "big boobs in a bikini" and you would get something totally different.

Yeah, I downloaded a pic of a fat guy's dick more than once thanks to the early pioneer internet trolls.
I remember getting a 56K modem, then starting a download of a song and leaving my computer on all night to finish downloading. And I thought it was the greatest thing in the world.

Lol. I just found this in my old gaming CD folder and managed to get it to load on Windows 10. When I found it I had to play it again.
