Sure most of the population want the hot girl or the one who gives us free drinks...but do any of you have a favorite bartender that you frequent because they work there and you know you'll get great service (no pun)?

For instance, the guy who look likes Sheamus from the WWE at the Cove in BR, or that tatted up bearded hipster who used to bartend at Chimes East and is now at Avenue Pub who dances to "Careless Whisper", the legendary Danny Wilson from 1000 different places but now at Port Royal...the guy who looks like Thor at Chelseas Cafe...etc, etc.

Does knowing you have a good bartender influence where you go? Do you have a go to bartender? If they change locations do you know? would you want to know? Would you frequent anywhere they work(within location/menu limits)?

I said it was 'the end'.

You want specifics like on the bod itself?

My favorites are both at The Cove. I like the bearded hipster guy that always dresses in a bowtie because he recommends me good stuff every time. My other favorite bartender there is the bass player in my band

Not so much as a bad bartender may make me go elsewhere.

Yes and no. I've always had friends bartending at the Cove, so that's been a frequent hangout.

Yes and yes. It may cause me to frequent their new location a little more often assuming it's convenient.

No. If the bar is good and convenient located, I'm going. If the bartender I like is there, I just may go more often over other places.

My most often attended places are:
Barcadia (outstanding food)
Radio Bar (within stumbling distance of my house)
The Cove (outstanding alcohol selection and I have friends that bartend there)
The Varsity (the bands)
Chelsea's (the food and the bands)

and in that order from most to least

I think he has retired but Chris McMillian of New Orleans was a good one:

OK, I realized the OP specified in-state but worth mentioning anyway- Chris Millican at Secreto in Santa Fe is the best ever, and I've spent considerable time in bars. Dude has all kinds of elixirs and potions behind the bar, super knowledgeable bUT doesn't take himself too seriously.
