Any reviews on this place? Thinking of a light lunch on Saturday.

if you're looking for a light lunch you may want to eat elsewhere. Food is pretty heavy.

John Blancher the owner of Rock and Bowl bought the place and it is much more ambitious of a restaurant than it used to be. They grow some of their own produce next door.

I'd sure like to try that lamb and onion flat bread.

The menu looks really good there and they have an herb/vegetable garden literally right next to the restaurant. I plan on checking it out soon.

My parents want to eat there every time they come in town. Always a pretty good meal, but like someone mentioned, it's not a light lunch place.

Wife and I love it. Just remember they aren't open during typical lunch hours. They don't open until 4pm everyday. If they have the seafood gumbo and/or the braised beef short ribs get them.

That's a beautiful garden, I always wondered whose it was.

Had a great oysters havarti and bacon poboy about a year ago

Also tried a bite of a fried green tomato shrimp remoulade poboy that was tasty as well
