I'm not generally in the habit of publicly broadcasting my honey holes for every Tom, Dick, and Lurker to see. I could have just said they were at the Piggly Wiggly!

Now if someone in BR doesn't have any Weller 12 and needs one I would be happy to help you out at cost. I've done this many times for folks on this board.

I found the ingredients online to make that rum/rye old fashion from last night. Hopefully I can recreate it...

What I had last night was very good. Think of a lighter and refreshing old fashioned.

This is the bitters:

quote:

Cinnamon and allspice with a strong cast of supporting island spice flavor; recommended with libations served in shrunken heads, volcanoes and miniature ceramic Moai. These bitters were inspired by one of the new garde of Tiki legends: Brian Miller, who wanted a falernum, a cordial filled with the spices of the West Indies. Since we’re not cordial makers, we decided to see if it was possible to create a bitter designed with tiki cocktails in mind. Our formulation takes into account the contributions from both the Eastern (Polynesia) and Western (Caribbean) schools of tropical cocktails.

The Ginger Shrub is a type of simple syrup:

quote:

Made from real fruit, sugar, vinegar, and other aromatics.
Perfect for aperitif-style cocktails.
Great with seltzer or added to a Moscow Mule.

Anges Envy Rye is certainly unique and unlike anything else I have ever had. On the sweet side but I love it. Seems to be a love/hate relationship. Sooooo I guess if you looking for something out of the ordinary go with the Angels Envy. Just another run of the mill good Rye go with the EHT

That's exactly what we said on our review tonight. AE Rye has definitely a love/hate vibe with people. We definitely loved it. So different from every other Rye.
