Straight out the bottle neat, No. I didn't add water but I let the ice ball melt for about 15 mins before I tried it again and it was good but still not nearly as good as EC BP. After tasting it would I scramble to buy another bottle, no. I am always a fan of trying new limited items and keep them around for others to try.

I have never tasted 142.8 proof George stagg but if it taste like that then I would pass. I am really wanting to try this yrs stagg at low 130 proof to see how it compares to jr.

Ahh thought had tasted the stagg before. It's real hot but I really like it. Makes my mouth a little tingle/numb and tue ice cube doesn't float at first lol.

I wonder if BT will adjust it some because of the less the reviews. I also wonder if everyone doesn't like it because they are so focused on comparing it to real stagg and ec Bp. I can't wait to try it for myself but I don't have high hopes.

Real GTS is an experience.... Based off of the reviews we've all read, they are nothing alike

Went to Avenue Pub for the Sweetwater release...while I was there, their bottle of JPS 18 went from 1/3 full to empty (4 different people)...seems they are pumping that as the closest thing to Pappy...

I know, csb...just surprised it happened so quickly on a beer release night

You ever had Handy or Saz18??

I haven't. Those would be some I would try if someone had them or saw them in a bar.

That's the problem... Those 2 will change your mind regarding Rye. Saz18 is impossible to find right now but Handy can be found with a little looking. I knoew where a few bottles are in BR.

Saw a bottle of handy yesterday that's been there for a while. Handy is the only one from the BTAC that lingers around....I do like handy.

No idea on where to look in Dallas. Let us know what ya find.

It's the least popular for sure but still one of the best Ryes I've ever had. The sweet/fruit from the rye and the 130+ proof go awesome together.

Anybody open up a bottle of EC 21 yet? Trying to decide if I want to blow $140 on a bottle.

Haven't seen it yet, but I did hear some interesting news last night. One of my local places will be getting in lots of EC soon. Regular, barrel proof, 18 (yes, the 18) and the 21. The best part is the 18 year will still be listed at around $40 or $50 retail as compared to the $140 tag of the 21

not yet... if i keep it i probably wont open it for a while. im going to see what trade value it might have in a couple weeks for some BTAC stuff. the regular EC12 isnt one of my favorites so I'm not chomping at the bit to open it.

I thought so too; obviously there's still a small stock hanging around.
