So my jps was there one day and when I went back the next to get the 2 bottles they were gone. Some biker guy went earlier that day and bought them both.

FBD - Russell's Reserve Single Barrel
2BD - 4RSmallBatch
Observations - Russell's Single Barrel IS better than small batch (but small batch is no slouch), 4R Small Batch is trash compared to Single Barrel.

Finally tried all 3 Four Roses Single Barrel private selections from Calandro's and Alexander's side by side.
Calandro's SB >>> Alexander's OESO>>>>> Calandro's OESK.

I haven't tried the Alexanders barrel yet. Calandros just ordered another barrel strength for the fall. Don't remember the recipe, will go check my email and report back..

OBSV barrel strength, the nose on the sample was outstanding.

Just want to say thanks to you guys for some of the recommendations and answering some of my dumb questions.
I have never been a fan of beers like most of my friends so I've always stuck to crown and coke and I think that's mainly b/c that's all my dad has ever drank.
Since I've stumbled upon this thread I have gotten a little more educated on the wonderful choices available that I just always passed over..
In the past couple months I've branched out and acquired bottles of Blanton's, Eagle Rare, Makers 46 & Basil Hayden..
The Eagle Rare was the newest acquisition and at 23 buck its probably the best I've tasted a that price point..
So again thanks guys and
