Go the extra few minutes and stop by Critic's Choice in Alexandria. Try the philly cheesesteak or the chicken grinder; worth the detour.

Fezzo's in Scott if they didn't get flooded out.

Mammas/Pappas in Natchitoches. Chef Wok up there is some of the best Chinese food I've ever had.

Outlaw's isn't exactly great, but it's a million times better than Eddie's.

Believe it or not, that gas station at the Natchitoches exit can be a solid stop.

Might be a little too far depending on when you want to stop.

Probably so. I'll stop at Eddie's cause it's right off the Interstate. I'll keep Outlaws in mind.

Is Eddies That "ah like ribs" place?
Leas hasn't been good since the old man went on Carson. Pies are ok but food not so much.

Foods not great, but it's decent enough and I can still appreciate it for what it is. Pies are still really good in my opinion.

I still love the ham sandwiches and the pies are good. The pecan has always been good. Blueberry if you happen to stop there when they're in season is really good.

The ham sandwiches are still decent, but the last two times I went through, the pies were "meh" at best. At $20 a pie, that's a no-go. The slide is sad, really. I remember going through there any time I passed through Alexandria and leaving with a pecan pie and whatever fresh fruit was in season and they were awesome.
