Going to Lafayette this weekend. Looking for somewhere good to eat thats casual. Wife likes steak.

Was told to try Blue Dog Cafe....Ruffinos looks to be a little too dressy for this weekend.

Festivale Internationale is this weekend, so hours and availabilities are going to be sketchy, just keep that in mind.. Every place will be packed, but my suggestion if you like casual and want a steak, is either La Fonda or Don's Seafood Hut, both restaurants are on Johnston Street.

It's probably too late to get a reservation at Ruffino's, but there's no dress requirement there. If you're going to look decent, you would be fine.

As already said, it's a big weekend in Lafayette, so it could be difficult getting into some of the more popular restaurants unless you go really early or maybe really late.

Probably 90% of the people that eat there are tourist and don’t know any better.

Mazen Grill has good seafood and steaks. It is on Johnston past the mall and away from area that will be affected by the festival.
