Where to eat dinner in Vegas

Will be there for 5 days and need some dinner recommendations. Staying at MGM, but open to any locations.

Best steakhouse for the money is The Steakhouse at Circus Circus. Steaks are cooked over lump charcoal. Ask for Michael Champeau to be your waiter. He has been there for 25 years plus and provides great service without being intrusive.

Mesa Grill at Caesars Palace is da bomb.

The Cosmo has several good spots like jaleo, China Poblano, and Stk but be warned everything there (and in Vegas) is badly overpriced

The Tiger Shrimp Garlic Corn Tamale is excellent at Mesa Grill along with their Roasted Corn Soup. Two musts for appetizers.

I second The Steakhouse. Great steaks and not overpriced. It sucks that it's in Circus Circus but it's worth it.

Yeah, Circus Circus is a dump. The smoke kills me. But the food more than makes up for it.

I take a day away from the strip and eat my way around Chinatown. Not only are there fantastic "locals" restaurants without the strip prices, but they have some killer seafood markets which will prepare most anything they have to order. The next time I go there I'm going to get a kitchenette if only to cook some live spot prawns. I could lose myself in the seafood and California produce. Kabuto is a must for a genuine Japanese experience, and Monta for killer ramen.

Fiamma is good in the MGM. Craftsteak is ok. The Wolfgang puck grill in the MGM is also pretty good. China Poblano at the cosmo is really good.

I always recommend Bartolotta in the Wynn but it's really that good

Ellis Island Casino has amazing specials, if you want a great cheap meal. Their steak special and BBQ special are great. One of the few places left with old-school Vegas prices. I also highly recommend Lotus of Siam, and Kabuto.

This is the way to go. Literally the best steak I've had in a long time.

Off the beaten path, but Lotus of Siam.
You've probably seen them on TV if you watch the food type of channels. People claim it is the best Thai in the whole US.
I've perused their photos online for no reason other than I think Thai food is so pretty

I'll probably get ridiculed for saying this, but Serendipity outside of Caesars Palace serves large portions of good food (you can easily split) for a decent price. We ended up getting the chicken and waffles and I would order it again.
Mon Ami Gabi outside of Paris does a great breakfast as well.
