Rouse's is getting terrible with their beer selection. I know about Stein's but are there any other options? Maybe Robert's or Whole Foods? I went to Martin's thinking that would be better than Rouse's and their beer section was as big as my fridge.

Stein's, best to buy all your beer from that dickhead so you can get the rare.

Too expensive IMO

I used to shop there on occasion out of convenience but some of their prices seemed absurd

Yeah whole foods Metairie has a pretty good selection.
There is a new place called 504 Craft Beer or something like that opening on Tulane really soon.
Supposed to be a game changer

It's horrid. It's just so damn lazy. And the sad thing is they devote such a large amount of their store space to their beer in every store.

It sure is. I live right by the Rouse's in Algiers and have tried the one on Belle Chasse Hwy and the new one by the Expressway. fricking awful. They do have an entire shelf dedicated to hard cider if you're into that sort of thing.

I went into the Robert's on RELee just before Christmas--was very pleasantly surprised. It's a nice store.

Meh. Might have some annoying hookers to deal with but I wouldn't worry with getting shot

The Robert's has a branch from the Stein's tree. Gonna have to play the same game.

They recently revamped their entire beer section. Prices seem to be on par with Stein's.

Anyone hit up 504 Craft Beer Reserve yet? They got anything worth the trip to Mid City or should I stick with Steins?

They had the peanut butter Porter from GB the other day. I think they are going to have to do a good job getting one off kegs to be successful. I would not only get in good with local breweries but also out of state breweries that distribute here. Kind of like what that guy at Courtyard has done.
