I don't know him so I don't have an opinion of him.

He's successful. I just don't have any interest in reading about it. At all.

I’ve only been to two, Ed’s and his Mexican place. Ed’s is good, the Mexican was ok. I do enjoy reading his weekly column/blog and I think I would enjoy one of his Italy trips.

The Mexican place closed

I can see that. It was dead when I was there while the other places in the building were jumping. If I’m ever in Hattiesburg while the bakery is open I wouldn’t mind checking it out. I love pastries and a good bakery.

Yea his Mexican place wasn't very good at all. I think it has re-opened as something else now. I like the rest of his places. Though Crescent City/Mahogany Bar needs to clean their tap lines. Was there last weeo and the beer was funky.

Yes, he has an ego, as do most successful restauranters. I think ego, combined with drive and skill helps with that business. Like most restauranters, he has an impressive list of successful eateries and failures. Sadly, I think failure is just a part of that business. He is a Mississippi Restauranter, Chef, and businessman. I appreciate and admire that. Lots of folks do not know about his humanitarian efforts with feeding programs in Mississippi. I have met him and see him as a pretty good guy.

Interesting topic this week, especially after this thread.

At least he knows most of us don't have it figure out.

I’ve seen him promoted as a Southern coastal chef. I have no idea which restaurants he has.
