Got crawfish bread today, $11 and the slide was small af. Overrated.
Picked up a shrimp taco and a gulf fish taco. Fish was fresh, not too flavorful but ok. Shrimp red ideas better. Both served on corn tortilla and good pico toppings.
Couldn’t find the damn Cuban sandwiches.

I used to go to the African restaurant and get peanut chicken, fried plantains, and couscous.

I always start with the Prejeans gumbo. It’s the bomb.

Because they aren't there, weren't there last year either.

Cansecos was the last vendor, they sell them at their store on Esplanade

That’s a good burger. I usually walk through their parking lot on way in and grab a drink and something to eat.

Then it’s a must to stop at Liuzzas for a drink before you into the gates

Cochon de lait poboy from Walkers BBQ
Hot sausage poboy from Vaucresson's
Tito's Strawberry lemonade
DiMartino's muffuletta
Fried catfish poboy from The Galley
Spicy Meat pie from Mrs. Wheats

Might get me a Turducken Poboy

Also have some interest in the quail pheasant andouille gumbo but may be too hot for that

It’s so good that it’s worth it even on the hottest days
