I honestly haven't been to Jubans in about 8 years. Growing up it was my parents favorite and went regularly, but we had a couple of disappointing meals and just quit going. I have no idea how they're doing now.

YA. Bay Leaf is on Sherwood just north of I-10 past Airline. I'm far from an expert on Indian cuisine, but it's far better than any I've had, and is actually become one of our regular nights out.

3. Mansurs
4. Maison Lacour
5. Ruffinos

Bay Leaf
Latils (not really in BR)
Beausoleil
Little Village
Then maybe Jubans

oh and i left off louisiana lagniappe so maybe not even top 10.

shite I always forget Maison Lacour. Good call. I wish they were on the I-10 side. Unfortunately it's always off my radar.

I've really only been up there for LSU sporting events, but my favorite restaurants are:

Chelseas
The Chimes
Pinnettas
Atchas

I can't think of a fifth. I haven't eaten up there enough to say.

Im sorry you cant afford their specials or bread but they are really good. That said I dont think its top 5 and has fallen off a bit.

Robertos is kinda like Latils.. BR area per se but not really a BR restaurant.
