What ever happened to Southern Belle Sandwiches?

I remember they had some rat problems, but did they never recover?

If you would see the "lady" that delivers them to the Shop Rite at the corner of Woodlawn Ranch Road and GC you would never eat them.

I don't think I've ever eaten more than a handful of them, just curious what happened there

Now that every grocery store makes finger sandwiches, I'm guessing the demand for rat turds isn't as high.

They were more of a gas station item, but yeah, all the new gas stations have their own now.

Oh yeah, the big ones? This is purely a guess, but when Southern Belle had to remedy the rat turds might have been when a lot of local stores tried the national pre-packaged sandwiches that Circle-K and other nationals were using. Then found they were consistent and cheap. I'm so ready to get out of here today.

After the health board warned them numerous times about the rats, they finally shut them down. Landshire came down and took them over and changed the name. I think everything comes prepacked from their home office now

I remember liking their chicken salad in college. Probably wouldn't be able to stomach it now
