What did this Chef Rob guy do to piss everyone off?

I'm not familiar with the guy, nor have I been to his BBQ spot, but I will say, his whole thing about shutting down because of a family illness when he's selling out every day didn't make sense, especially after he anounced two new ventures just two weeks later.But like I said, I'm not in the know, so I'm not trying to be judgmental.
What I'm trying to find out is ... why everyone like "frick that guy" ... or "his ego is his problem" ... I've also seen comments about him burning bridges on social media.
Can someone tell me what he's done to get this reputation?

Mostly his online communications with people. He usually deletes the stupid shite pretty quickly.
He gets in e-fights a lot.
He bad mouthed other restaurants and went off on a charity que competition he lost.

For starters, when Squeal got robbed he made some crappy comment on social media along the lines of "did they even have money for the robbers to take?" or some crap. Also, he bullies people on Yelp and takes crap way too personally. If you say you don't like his food, he acts like you just called his mother a diseased whore. And he is/was always picking fights on twitter and instagram. I've met the dude, and he's always seemed nice, but there is a character flaw there.
