What are the go-to "lively" restaurants still worth checking out in NOLA?

I have taken some guests to Peche last year and they loved it...in years past, we have gone to Jacques Imo's and they enjoyed it.
Not looking for a place you have to get dressed up...but has good food and "fun"...
Looking for some recommendations...thanks in advance

I went to Compare Lapin the other night. Its a brand new restaurant from Nina Compton (Top Chef). It was very good and lively (re: Loud as frick).
Peche's brother restaurant, Cochon would be somewhat similar to that category.
How about Bacchanal? Would that count?

I like the atmosphere at both Root and La Boca if you want to be around the WHD.
Uptown:
I think Atchafalaya might fit the bill, unless you are sat in the alcove upstairs which is pretty isolated. Could also check out Shaya or Pizza Domenica. La Petite Grocery has a good atmosphere when it's crowded, but can be hit or miss. Same thing with Coquette.

"fun" and "lively"= a place we can be drunk and loud without disturbing the place too badly?

If your adding music to the mix, I'd second Bacchanal, and also throw Three Muses into the mix (and Three Muses takes reservations). The Franklin also has a real lively vibe to it, and great food.

I definitely recommend Bacchanal if they like wine and don't mind being outdoors.

I think Emeril's is very lively. I love eating there. It's one of my favorites in the all around category.
ETA: I also think K-Paul's is lively.
