White beans with the ham bone from Christmas and some smoked turkey necks. Best thing I've cooked in a while, IMO.

I came home to tacos but am going to make a taco salad. I didn't follow my diet for lunch so I may as well try to start it this evening.

Turned the leftover NY Day crowder peas into pea croquettes, pan fried, w/a side of steamed corn/asparagus/carrot medley. Croquettes were delicious, bag of "steamfresh" veggies not so much. Trying not to eat dessert in the 2017.

My wife wanted to use the crockpot. I overruled. Nothing is better after a long shity day than spending an hour alone in my Kitchen.

Got about 2 hours left on a seasoned and browned 4lb chuck roast sitting on a bed of celery, garlic, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and carrots in a beef stock deglazed lecreuset cooking right now.

My house smells like I imagine heaven does.

I'll post a pick when I'm done.

I feel the same way after a frustrating day at work.....just let me be for an hour or so in the kitchen and things will come right. My late mother in law, g-d rest her soul, count understand that I didn't want to chat/visit at 6pm.....
