Going to my first Dinner Lab supper in ATL. On the menu:

Granny's Greens
sweet corn johnny cake crouton | marigold greens | caramelized peach vinaigrette | bacon & brussels sprouts

South Beach
caramelized sea scallop | green apple & cilantro cream | summer vegetable pearls

Buford Highway Bird Bath
tandoori chicken tortellini | Thai chicken broth | shiitake mushroom

Braised Beef
jalapeño & white cheddar grits | summer corn & pecan

White Peach Brûlée
grilled white peach | sweet chili sorbet | cardamom spice cake

I imagine this will take place in some sort of non-air conditioned warehouse with an ironic bearded man reading excerpts from Toni Morrison novels.

don't act like you won't love it

I'm grilling chicken thighs and roasting various veggies from the garden (okra, carrots, potatoes, broccoli)

also made a badass blueberry tart for dessert from the 4 lbs of blueberries we picked today at the farm

Pre-fry fries? How do you get them hot and crispy for tomorrow?

Going to a fundraiser / party at Strauss. So whatever they're having.

At my SIL's in Shreveport. I just finished some wings on the grill. We have some Mahi Mahi that will be grilled after while. Junior has been naked running around the pool since 2pm.

Homeade hand cut fries.... If you will cut them, "flash fry" them for 4-5 min... Then freeze them, you can get good crispy homeade fries..... Often folks have a hard time getting homecut fries crispy... This is one way to do it.

I need to spend time on my homeade hush puppies 2morro - not fries!

Takeout 20 wings from Buffalo Wild Wings. 1/2 Jerk 1/2 Spicy Garlic. Impromptu decision on the way home after a brutal loss for the kid in a third set tie breaker at a tennis tournament in LA.

ETA Cheeseburger plain for her
