is this anchored? :test: :test:

eta ok its not.

ok, so here's the deal-io.

they shipped me the wrong stove. NG vs propane. they admitted their mistake, claimed they should have charged me $150 more and so i've been fighting with the owner & m* (wont use her whole name but if you're working with austex you'll sort it out pretty quick)

anyway, i'm not so much mad that i'm out-of-pocket $150 to do the conversion with a local plumber as i am the fact they admitted it was their mistake and won't reimburse.

i told them they sold me a 'propane based' product and they admitted it was their fault they didn't set it up that way but other than sending me out the little conversion adapters they won't pony up for the damage to the oven (soot from running the oven as NG) even though i can't get the interior completely clean.

yes cad is an idiot for not noticing the oven flames weren't solid blue but i paid for a brand new range and what was delivered is now at least cosmetically damaged (inside the oven at least).

*** review of company aside ***

stove has been pretty good. the rear burners (less BTUs) are not as useful as i'd expect. they don't go low enough to simmer rice or anything which you'd think you'd do after moving the boiling pot to the back. so that means you have to keep the 'low heat' items in front and use the less powerful BTU burners in the back to cook your high heat items.

..either that or completely finish the rice or whatever and move it aside then you can use the front burners.

speaking of front burners, they burn hot as hell. the 12k BTUs will make my tea kettle whistle inside of 2 minutes.

they are also awesome because when you turn them down halfway, the large fire ring goes out and only the smaller fire ring remains lit.

finally, i don't know if this is a result of the NG -> propane conversion or what, but the front right burner when you turn to the 'simmer' setting will start clicking the ignitor. that's very annoying when doing a quick 'turn down all the way'. i haven't had time to see if this is somethign wrong in how the knob was put back or a manufacturing issue.

all in all i can reverse sear a mean steak on this range but I'd give it a B at best and customer service a D-.
