Man, they couldn't even get the Big Green Egg for The Egg?

I suggest start smoking stuff. Chickens, ribs, pork loin, sausage, etc.

It's a good templet for what you'll want.

I'm not even taking it out of the box until I have the table built. I'll probably start on mine this week and try to have it done by the 4th.

so after doing some perusing on youtube today, i think my first few projects will be wings and then maybe pork belly burnt ends, which look awfully tasty.

btw - has anyone tried Zach's Wing Sauce? supposed to be pretty good and comes in the form of a spray bottle.

Have not tried it... like the spray bottle idea though.

Best grill I have ever owned. I got the joetisserie attachment for Fathers Day. It's a game changer. You can do anything you want with this grill. Go online and watch all theKJ videos and jump in.

I've found the kamado joe to be much better than the green egg. People who buy the egg are usually novices

Please provide evidence.

I've heard they are comparable. I've never heard anyone saying it was "better" (also haven't heard anyone saying it wasn't as good). I just got a surprise check in the mail and was waiting until winter, but drove and viewed a few yesterday and may pull the trigger sooner than later. Was leaning cheaper, but the large green egg is right in my wheelhouse and I like the warranty factor. Don't want most of the accessories since I'll be making a table, so the KJ doesn't stand out there since it's the same price if not a little more (just includes accessories). Only thing I want is the plate setter. And that can be had relatively inexpensively.

Sorry to hijack, but truly wondering how the KJ is "much better". Only one I've really heard stand out is the larger oval primo due to size, and I don't need that size, so that's lost on me.

They are all about the same, the one that stuck out to me was the Primo, it felt cheap , especially the vent cap and thermometer. I went with the LBGE, local dealer with best pricing was about 6 miles away.
